What is Straight Chiropractic?

Straight chiropractic is a specialty addressing Vertebral Subluxations. It is based on the knowledge that vertebral subluxations interfere with the body’s innate striving to maintain life.
When free of vertebral subluxation, the body is better able to express or maintain its life, and enrich the intellectual expression.
Straight chiropractors analyze the structural and functional integrity of the body's major communication system, the central nervous system (the brain, the spinal cord, and spinal nerves housed in the spinal column), and when subluxated, vertebrae are adjusted to their normal articulating relationship. The mission of straight chiropractic is to contribute to people's lives through the adjustment of vertebral subluxations and the teaching of unique life principles. Straight chiropractic has the philosophy, science, and art of eliminating Vertebral Subluxations, and it can safely and effectively contribute to a clearer nervous system for people of all ages.

What is Innate Intelligence?

Innate intelligence is the inborn wisdom of living things. Its one purpose is to maintain the matter in which it resides in a state of active organization. It creates mental impulses in the brain and they are transmitted over nerves.
Their purpose is to coordinate the more than sixty trillion cells in the human body, so they work harmoniously together in healing, maintaining health and adapting the body to its ever-changing environment. It is the all -knowing doctor within. The innate Intelligence works 24/7 every day of one’s life, coordinating the pumping of blood from the heart to the entire body, digesting food, regulating body temperature respiration, insulin levels and a thousand other functions, excreting toxins, healing cuts and so forth.

What is Vertebral Subluxation?

An innate intelligence strives to maintain life and it uses the nervous system to coordinate all of the cells of the body for that purpose. The innate intelligence of the body uses the brain to assemble mental impulses, bits of information that are transmitted over nerves to coordinate or harmonize the functions of the body.
A slight vertebral misalignment can produce pressure on the spinal cord or the spinal nerves that emit from between the vertebrae and cause quality of communication to become modified. Modified quality of communication, in turn, cause modified function, putting the body parts in a state of functional incoordination or disharmony.
That can change the body’s ability to adapt to environmental forces. A vertebral subluxation involves a slightly misaligned vertebra, nerve interference and modified quality of communication of mental impulse between the brain and the body. Chiropractic is that profession that contributes to client’s life through the analysis and adjustment of vertebral subluxation.

What is a Straight Chiropractor?

A chiropractor who locates, analyzes, and contributes to the correction of Vertebral Subluxations only when it is necessary. They have accurate skills for analyzing Vertebral Subluxations and have trained appropriately for giving a safe and specific adjustic thrust to clients.

History of Chiropractic

On September 18, 1895, in Davenport, Iowa, Daniel David Palmer discovered the Vertebral Subluxation: a condition in which a vertebra loses its normal articulating relationship with an adjacent vertebrae in such a way that it constantly disturbs the transmission of nerve impulses from the brain to the body, and from the body back to the brain. Our body mostly regulates its functions via the nervous system by sending a unit of mental force (called mental impulses) with putting a nerve impulse for a specific tissue cell at the specific timing. Vertebral subluxations create modified quality of communication between the brain and the body is one of the causes of patterned or altered function in the body. After further researching Vertebral Subluxations for several years, Daniel David Palmer founded the chiropractic profession.
